Due to storm damage the night of June 28th, the Village of Chatham is expecting an increased volume for this round of branch pick-up. Our crews will begin on the regularly scheduled pick-up day, Monday, July 2nd. Again, because of the anticipated volume it will take us longer to get to everyone’s branch pile, so please be patient with us.
A couple of simple reminders: 1) each address is only allowed 1 pile of branches that are no bigger than 12’ x 3’ x 4’in size. 2) do not combine two piles from two different addresses. 3) if you have more branches than the Village will accept, it is the resident’s responsibility to see to it that they are hauled to the burn pile located at 9507 S. Main Street. 4) NO WHOLE trees or bushes allowed.
Please remember, if you are hauling the branches to the burn pile and you are a property owner within the Village’s city limits, you must first register, free of charge at the Village Utility Office. However, professional tree services or contractors are required to pay a $25 fee at the Utility office before disposing of limbs at the burn pile.
