Yard Waste Policy
1) You may "trim" trees and bushes year round and put the libs in the front of your house by the curb for the Village to pick up. However, YOU MUST CALL THE VILLAGE OFFICE FOR A WORK ORDER at (217)-483-2451.
2) NO whole trees or bushes will be accepted!!
3) Please stack the limbs neatly in one direction for pickup. Also, please let us know if there are thorns on the limbs when you call in for a work order.
4) This is a free pick up, so the Village will pick them up as time allows in their schedule
5) Leaves, garden and other yard waste (NO GRASS) is picked up free twice a year by the Village in the Spring and the Fall. During the free pickup, leaf bags will be available at the village office and the pick up is free during those times only (these dates vary year to year). We will update the website with these dates when they occur.
6) Otherwise, you will need to put yard stickers on your bags and your wastehauler will pick them up. Bags with GRASS in them are picked up by your waste hauler, please check with them to find out their rules.
