Tax Increment Financing - Promotes redevelopment of blighted areas by capturing exceeded real estate taxes from privately developed projects. Industrial Revenue Bonds - Promotes eligible projects by securing bonds where the proceeds are used for the sole purpose of financing private corporations. Community Development Assistance Program - A program designed specifically for eligible small businesses who are strong credit risks and need long term fixed-rate affordable financing to create, expand or retain jobs. Community Services Block Grant Business Loan Program - A program for eligible small businesses who create employment for low-income workers by making affordable, long term, fixed rate financing available for fixed assets and working capital. Miscellaneous Incentives - Special service area financing created by special service area taxes are available to municipalities to finance services or projects, as well as to attract and retain businesses. Other incentives tailored for specific types of businesses are available through other agencies such as the Small Business Administration or private investors. |
